Every job I have ever had has come with instruction. This is why we remove the rogue corn. This is the way to work the cash register. This is how to take a driver’s license picture. This is how you submit your newspaper editorial for publication. This is the right way to mop a floor. This is how we schedule ministry events. Etc, etc.

The author wanted others to value instruction most highly. Wisdom is a feminine Hebrew word and so the author anthropomorphized it to a woman for the sake of his argument. Do you guard her instruction?

To do so involves humility and selflessness. Diligence. How do you receive instruction?–JMB
