David hadn’t been delivered yet. He was still looking forward to his salvation. He was hoping for help and then proclaiming what he would say. Maybe you are in one of those moments with God where you are in need and hoping He will provide. And when he comes through for you, you can’t wait to celebrate. I can respect your position. Ultimately God is your answer. Keep trusting Him. You will learn that there is nobody like God.

But for the rest of us. If you have seen God’s unique faithfulness in your life, then you should respond uniquely. Who gets your joy? Who is exalted by you? Do you treat anyone or anything like God? Is God simply one of many choices receiving your allegiance? If your soul was given a microphone, if your bones were interviewed, what would they say about this matter?–JMB
