Praise the LORD!–Psalm 117
WHO? The psalm begins with a command to praise Yahweh. Both the goyim (nations) and the tribes (peoples) are to praise Him.
WHY? We praise God because of his (c)hesed or merciful loving-kindness towards us. We praise him because the truth of His faithfulness endures forever.
In your anxiety this morning, ALIGN YOUR WHO. The things I can’t control, trust God. The things I can, honor God.
In your depression this morning, CHANGE YOUR STORIES TO THE WHY. God, you are so faithful to me. God you daily care for me. I exist today to praise God and my purpose is to proclaim the truth of His goodness. I have received mercy from God and now I live in that loving-kindness that never fails.–JMB
