This is a terrifying verse for many who hide, but there is so much bravery here. The villain has a path towards acting more like the hero. The first two are in the verse. The second two are natural extensions.

1. HONESTY about your sin.
2. INTENTIONALITY about confession of and turning from those sins.
3. ACCOUNTABILITY with a trusted friend to biblically help you stay on target and not hide anymore.
4. DISCIPLINE. If you are truly repentant, then the fruit of discipline will show in your life.

Repeat 1-4 as needed. These changed my life and keep me humble. Honesty and intentionality are essential!—JMB
