Calling [1-minute read]

11With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. 12We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.–2 Thessalonians 1

  1. Your calling actually belongs to God.
  2. His power causes you to desire good things instead of selfish things.
  3. He is the reason you have faith and therefore the one who prompts all your faithful deeds.
  4. His grace makes it possible for Jesus to be glorified in your life.
  5. This calling will ultimately result in you receiving honor alongside Jesus.

This should cause you to reflect upon the scope of your life. I personally respond with thanksgiving and gratitude reading these verses. God uniquely uses your story for His glory!–JMB
