17Whenever the cloud lifted from above the tent, the Israelites set out; wherever the cloud settled, the Israelites encamped. 18At the Lord’s command the Israelites set out, and at his command they encamped. As long as the cloud stayed over the tabernacle, they remained in camp. 19When the cloud remained over the tabernacle a long time, the Israelites obeyed the Lord’s order and did not set out.–Numbers 9

1. THE PEOPLE FOLLOWED THE LEADING OF GOD.
2. THE PEOPLE DIDN’T GO BACK AND MEMORIALIZE PREVIOUS POINTS ON THE JOURNEY.
3. THE PEOPLE ALSO DIDN’T RACE AHEAD AND FIGURE OUT WHERE GOD WAS LEADING NEXT.
4. THERE WAS NO GOING BACK OR GETTING AHEAD.
5. THEY SIMPLY FOLLOWED THAT CLOUD AND TRUSTED GOD TO LEAD.
6. GOD USES HIS WORD, THE BIBLE, TO LEAD OUR WAYWARD, SELFISH HEARTS.
7. IN WHAT WAYS ARE YOU EITHER GOING BACK OR RACING AHEAD OF GOD?
8. THIS WOULD BE GREAT TO DISCUSS WITH AN ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNER.
9. I PRAY YOU JOURNEY WITH A CHURCH FAMILY THAT OBEYS GOD’S WORD AS A COMMUNITY.
