1Here are the stages in the journey of the Israelites when they came out of Egypt by divisions under the leadership of Moses and Aaron. 2At the Lord’s command Moses recorded the stages in their journey. This is their journey by stages: 3The Israelites set out from Rameses on the fifteenth day of the first month, the day after the Passover. They marched out defiantly in full view of all the Egyptians, 4who were burying all their firstborn, whom the Lord had struck down among them; for the Lord had brought judgment on their gods.–Numbers 33 (emphasis)
10 THEOLOGICAL PLAGUES: God definitely saw the plagues from the Exodus story moments in a as a divine war or courtroom. And as the Exodus proved, Yahweh of Israel had and has no equal!
PLACE NAMES: This chapter has a bunch of crazy sounding names. But people who take cruises remember every port of call along the way with itineraries. Also, some of our city names are weird. For example, why do we in Chicagoland pronounce Des Plaines and Des Moines completely differently?
PHOTO DUMP: People today use their social media accounts to post many pictures of a vacation or even of a month! Think of today’s chapter like the photo dump of the wilderness wanderings.
Remember the journey and the places along the way. How has God been faithful? What has He taught you? How is He using your story for His glory?–JMB
