34A new commandment I [Jesus] give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you also must love one another. 35By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.”–John 13

1. All usage of “love” in these verses is a form of the Greek word agape.
2. The agape that Jesus shows His disciples is the standard for the agape that disciples show to each other.
3. Identity as Christians is known to everyone else by that agape.

JESUS sees the love you show or don’t show.

OTHERS are meant to recognize you as a follower of Jesus by the love you show. Other Christians, too!

YOU are commanded to love Jesus’ way! How’s your agape?
