51These are the territories that Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun and the heads of the tribal clans of Israel assigned by lot at Shiloh in the presence of the Lord at the entrance to the tent of meeting. And so they finished dividing the land.–Joshua 19

I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt to give you the land of Canaan and to be your God. (Leviticus 25:38)

1. The land was fully divided. No leftovers to fight over.
2. Joshua and Eleazar both oversaw the process.
3. These land divisions checked off both political and religious boxes.
4. There will be a spiritual connection between God and His people regarding the land. The priest got involved in the division.
5. Israel would tie the faithfulness of God to the land each tribe would get to pass on to the next generation.
6. How does your heart view your possessions?
7. Do you link them with the faithfulness of God to provide? Or are your possessions merely selfish things that express you?–JMB
