13Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. 14As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 15But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”–1 Peter 1

Christian,

1. Live your life defined more by sobriety than by excess.
2. The empty tomb of Jesus made the deposit for an inheritance of eternal life. Maintain your hope in this. You belong to Jesus and get His hope!
3. The former, selfish you, before Jesus transformed you, should no longer be the current you. This is your daily fight.
4. Your priorities have changed. You glorify Jesus now.
5. You have been called by God. Are you living like you answered or silenced the call?–JMB
