When Facing Opposition

15But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. 17For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.–1 Peter 3

Christian,

  1. Jesus should be the highest priority within you.
  2. Be able to describe the hope Jesus uniquely provides.
  3. This should center on forgiveness now and resurrection later. Eternal life and Heaven.
  4. Your attitude should not be preachy, but respectful. Show that gentleness the should be on your branches!
  5. Live in a godly way, so that even though you might be accused, they are baseless.
  6. Suffering for your good is persecution. Suffering for your evil is justice. Some who claim they are being persecuted are actually facing consequences for their own selfishness.
  7. What in this list needs to change within your perspective?–JMB
