23The fear of the Lord leads to life; then one rests content, untouched by trouble.–Proverbs 19

“I [Jesus]have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

1. You may have troubles in this life.
2. People may reject you or persecute you.
3. You may even suffer for the cause of Christ.
4. But we rest content because we follow Jesus.
5. He has overcome the world and has brought peace.
6. I have peace with God. This brings contentment to my rest.
7. The Gospel of Jesus brings hope for peace with others, as well.–JMB
