37While Jesus was speaking, a Pharisee asked him to dine with him, so he went in and reclined at table. 38The Pharisee was astonished to see that he did not first wash before dinner. 39And the Lord said to him, “Now you Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness.

40You fools! Did not he who made the outside make the inside also? 41But give as alms those things that are within, and behold, everything is clean for you. 42“But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and every herb, and neglect justice and the love of God.—Luke 11

1. Your outside needs to change and glorify God.
2. These are actions, attitudes, and words.
3. But the real war happens with change on the inside.
4. These are thoughts, feelings, and motivations.
5. The best change starts inside and flows to the outside.
6. Only God can see what you hide from others on the inside.
7. Jesus called the Pharisees hypocrites on many occasions. How are you doing with your inside?—JMB
