The Absolute Best Attitude to Have With God

5But as for me, I am poor and needy; come quickly to me, O God. You are my help and my deliverer; Lord, do not delay.–Psalm 70

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. (Matthew 5:4)

Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. (2 Corinthians 7:10)

On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” (Mark 2:17)

  1. Salvation for David meant that he was powerless and hopeless on his own and looked to God to provide.
  2. It was literal life and death for David.
  3. Take this matter spiritually regarding your sin.
  4. We are powerless and hopeless on our own and must turn to Jesus.
  5. Mourn, repent, and see your need.
  6. Read those verses above again. Make them your attitude.
  7. Only God could save David. Only Jesus can save sinners. But the ones whom He saves admit that they need Him and are willing to trust Him alone for salvation.–JMB
