11The following night the Lord [Jesus] stood near Paul and said, “Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.”–Acts 23

1. Even though Jesus was in Heaven, he knew what was going on in Paul’s life.
2. Jesus still expected Paul to be faithful.
3. Jesus still had a plan for Paul.
4. God sometimes feels distant.
5. And we can’t expect miraculous moment like in Acts 23.
6. But can you open your Bible, read God speaking to your situation, and trust His Word?
7. Moments like that are some of the most powerful and precious in my life and are the bedrock of the biblical counseling I do.–JMB
