Amen, Come, Lord Jesus

17The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

18I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. 19And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.

20He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”

Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

21The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.–Revelation 22

  1. Posted above are the final words of the Bible. The canon of Scripture is closed.
  2. Any group who takes away from the Bible Scripture that they don’t like or adds new things is warned against and will receive judgment by God.
  3. Jesus invites you to come to Him. Christianity isn’t some secret club or special group. Just remember this: all may come, but you may only come through Jesus.
  4. Jesus reminds us that He is coming soon. That “soon” has lasted over 2000 years, so I invite you to read it as “next.” Do you long for the Second Coming of Jesus?
  5. John also wants Jesus’ grace to be with us. Remember, grace is always given to the undeserved person and is never earned or deserved.
  6. God has shown grace to undeserving you. Show grace to undeserving others. My goodness, especially in this divided, political world!
  7. Jesus invites you to come to Him before He returns. It’s time to own your sins and acknowledge that they have separated you from God. In faith, trust Jesus for salvation, claiming that His death on the cross made full payment for your sins. Repent of your sin and turn to Jesus for hope and forgiveness. This is not a moment to keep private, but shared in joy. I’m praying for you.–JMB
