Your Story for God’s Glory

39Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him [Jesus] because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” 40So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days. 41And because of his words many more became believers.

42They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.”–John 4

  1. Jewish people and Samaritans in Jesus’ day didn’t get along with each other and racially avoided each other as much as possible.
  2. Jesus had gone out of his way to share hope with a Samaritan woman that seemed even an outcast among her own people.
  3. That woman used her broken story for God’s glory and introduced her entire town to Jesus.
  4. She is a hero for anyone in recovery or with a past, and is an inspiration to us all.
  5. Her neighbors, who might have once condemned her, now believed in Jesus because of her.
  6. They proclaimed that they KNEW that Jesus really is the savior. Can you say that? Have you trusted Jesus alone for your salvation?
  7. The greatest goal in your life is to see God use your story–no matter how broken or messy–for His glory. Especially if Him doing so leads others to Jesus. There is literally nothing better than that.–JMB
