It comes from the one who sent me.17Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. 18Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory, but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.–John 7

1. These verses remind you of a big question you have to decide regarding Jesus.
2. Was Jesus a normal rabbi of his day living and teaching simply to make a living as a Jewish man in a Roman world?
3. Or was Jesus literally sent from God, representing God, and teaching the things of God?
4. Whose glory did Jesus seek: His own or God’s?
5. Would you consider Jesus to be a man of truth?
6. Would you consider Jesus to have anything false about Him?
7. You either believe what Jesus claimed about Himself or you do not. These are the first steps of faith.–JMB
