23But he [Jesus] continued, “You [religious leaders] are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. 24I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins.”–John 8

1. The religious leaders’ main argument against Jesus was that He was a man just like them.
2. Jesus’ argument was that there is something about Him that was different from them.
3. Jesus was a man who walked the earth, but He also is more.
4. Jesus, God the Son in the flesh, is from Heaven.
5. Jesus has the power to cause men not to die in their sins.
6. Belief/trust in Jesus is necessary for this to happen.
7. What you believe and who you believe in matters. You either agree with the religious leaders in John 8 or you agree with Jesus.–JMB
