The temple that King Solomon built for the Lord was sixty cubits long, twenty wide and thirty high…He had spent seven years building it. (1 Kings 6:2, 38)

1. Dimensions of God’s Temple: 60 x 20 x 30, 7 years.
2. Dimensions of Solomon’s Palace: 100 x 50 x 30, 13 years.
3. Simple math: volume of God’s Temple = 36,000
4. Simple math: volume of Solomon’s Palace = 150,000
5. Solomon spent almost twice as long on his own building than he did on God’s building.
6. As we continue with Solomon’s life, we will find compromise. I submit to you that the compromise started here.
7. What do you prioritize? Where do you compromise and what does it communicate about you? So many people are focused on building their own temples vs the things of God.–JMB
