Do You Repent Or Revolt?

12Then the disciples came to [Jesus] and asked, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?”

13He replied, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots.–Matthew 15

  1. Jesus had just quoted Isaiah to say that the Pharisees were hypocrites.
  2. The Pharisees were offended at Jesus for calling them out.
  3. Jesus didn’t backtrack or massage his message.
  4. In fact, Jesus doubled-down by applying it to the end-times.
  5. God the Father had planted certain plants and all other things that grew were weeds.
  6. For the Pharisees to oppose the Son meant that they didn’t belong to the Father. No matter what they claimed otherwise.
  7. Not all religious fervor is Biblically correct. If Jesus offends you then you are not with Him. If the Bible reveals your hypocrisy, it’s time to repent, not time to revolt.–JMB
