31“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he [Jesus] will sit on his glorious throne. 32All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.–Matthew 25
- Jesus’ favorite nickname for Himself was the Son of Man. So Jesus was obviously here talking about His return or Second Coming.
- These were Jesus’ own words about Judgment Day.
- Jesus said that He will sit on a throne. All will stand before Him.
- This means that Jesus will rule then. For you to be a sheep and not a goat, Jesus needs to rule in your heart now.
- Jesus presents an either/or situation, not a both/and. Either you will have followed Jesus or you will have not.
- Jesus will therefore recognize you as in one of two categories.
- There is no third option. Where you stand that day is where you stand. It’s not too late to follow Jesus today.–JMB
