8But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. 9As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.–Galatians 1
- There are other faiths that depend upon an angel giving a human a divine message from heaven.
- According to Paul here, even an angel could not change the Bible’s Gospel message. He uses strong words to express that.
- Christians follow the Bible and center our focus on the teachings of the New Testament.
- We don’t look to any other testament or book to add to the message of the Bible.
- We shouldn’t take any part away from the Bible, just because it might bring offense or conviction.
- We shouldn’t add any part to the Bible, even if one claims a new message from Heaven has been given.
- The Bible is sufficient just as it is for all matters of faith and practice as we go through life. It doesn’t need a remix or an editing. It also doesn’t require any new material. This is a core Christian belief.–JMB
