13Because you [Levites] did not carry it the first time, the LORD our God broke out against us, because we did not seek him according to the rule.” 14So the priests and the Levites consecrated themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD, the God of Israel. 15And the Levites carried the ark of God on their shoulders with the poles, as Moses had commanded according to the word of the LORD.–1 Chronicles 15

1. David was referencing the situation from chapter 13 with the death of Uzzah.
2. In fact, David here realized that he ordered the transport of the ark in the wrong way.
3. He should have involved consecrated priests and Levites in following the regulations of Numbers chapter 4.
4. David realized that he “didn’t seek God according to the rule.”
5. We go through troubles in this life. Seek counsel from the Bible. That was the answer for David, it has been the answer for me, and it is the answer for you.
6. David sought God’s way through Scripture and then accordingly changed the decision he made.
7. David was willing to change in order to honor God. Pursue biblical counsel. Get help in your situation. Be willing to change when the Bible is clear regarding your life.–JMB
