This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone.And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:11-12)

1. David put God in a category all by Himself.
2. David was only going to wait silent for God.
3. Only God was David’s rock.
4. Only God was his salvation and fortress.
5. David waited in silence, for he knew by trusting in God he would not be shaken.
6. For David, salvation was deliverance largely from human enemies. many generations after David, Jesus provided salvation once for all. He conquered sin and death. His blood reconciles sinners to God.
7. Only Jesus saves. He is the one worth waiting for.–JMB
