5If a man has recently married, he must not be sent to war or have any other duty laid on him. For one year he is to be free to stay at home and bring happiness to the wife he has married.–Deuteronomy 24

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. (Ephesians 5:25)

1. Ministry flows from life.
2. A man’s marriage is more important than a man’s other duties. If it is in need of work, it gets prioritized first.
3. A husband sets the example of leadership by service in that first year. By giving up everything extra in his life to serve his wife sacrificially!
4. No matter what year of marriage you are in, focus on Ephesians 5:25!
5. I used to be weak in this area, but I owned what I could own and then I got the help and accountability I needed. My life and marriage are different now and give God glory.–JMB
