3So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time [in Iconium], speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of His grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders.–Acts 14
Do not believe me [Jesus] unless I do the works of my Father. But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.” John 10:37-38)
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
- Miracles are a special thing. They are obvious and verifiable.
- They existed in the Bible to confirm the message being delivered.
- They also set apart the messenger as unique and belonging to God.
- We pray boldly for God to answer our prayers in the present.
- But our faith is grounded upon the miracles which are recorded in the Bible, and especially the resurrection of Jesus.
- We don’t require new signs and wonders in order to have faith.
- How do you view miracles?–JMB
