For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
- The context in this proverb is sexual sin, but these words still apply to any sin.
- Sin ensnares and leads astray. It is folly or foolish.
- It may feel or seem good, but it ultimately leads to death.
- God knows your ways and paths, your excuses, your rationalizations.
- God sees you when you press the “snooze button” regarding your discipline.
- Repentance regarding your sin and faith in Jesus is your only hope.
