13…and it was the duty of the trumpeters and singers to make themselves heard in unison in praise and thanksgiving to the LORD, and when the song was raised, with trumpets and cymbals and other musical instruments, in praise to the LORD,

1. The temple built by Solomon was finished.
2. Musicians and singers gathered to sing a song of praise.
3. Their message was in two parts. First, God is good.
4. I often pray for people in difficult circumstances. I am currently praying for a dear soul enduring a difficult cancer struggle.
5. As I pray, I have to bring to mind that God is good and His plan is good.
6. His hesed, his mercy or loving-kindness indeed endures forever. Even when the pains and sorrows of life don’t feel like steadfast love, God is still loving and good.This is a song for the suffering Christian to sing.
7. I often remind the people for whom I pray that God is still God (He handles His business) and that God is still good (His plan is best, even when it might hurt now).–JMB
