Asa Cried to the Lord

11And Asa cried to the LORD his God, “O LORD, there is none like you to help, between the mighty and the weak. Help us, O LORD our God, for we rely on you, and in your name we have come against this multitude. O LORD, you are our God; let not man prevail against you.” 12So the LORD defeated the Ethiopians before Asa and before Judah, and the Ethiopians fled.–2 Chronicles 14

  1. Asa was the first good king in Judah since the nation divided into two.
  2. He cared about God and the things of God.
  3. And a mighty, numerous army came out against Judah.
  4. It seemed an impossible situation for any king to handle.
  5. So Asa took his situation to God and relied on Him in faith.
  6. And God provided for Asa and Judah in a mighty way.
  7. How have you relied on God in your difficult situations? Do you cry out to the Lord? How has God uniquely provided for you in a mighty way?–JMB
