15…And his [King Uzziah’s] fame spread far, for he was marvelously helped, till he was strong. 16But when he was strong, he grew proud, to his destruction. For he was unfaithful to the LORD his God and entered the temple of the LORD to burn incense on the altar of incense.–2 Chronicles 26
- King Uzziah had a humble start.
- And in that humility he served God.
- King Uzziah later grew strong, famous, and prideful.
- And in that pride he served himself.
- Uzziah thought he could treat the things of God any way he chose.
- He entered the Temple’s Holy Place and went where only priests were supposed to go and did what only priests were supposed to do.
- Power and strength led to Uzziah’s destruction. Stay small in your own eyes, friend.–JMB
