15The LORD, the God of their fathers, sent persistently to them by his messengers, because he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling place. 16But they kept mocking the messengers of God, despising his words and scoffing at his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD rose against his people, until there was no remedy.–2 Chronicles 36
- Judah progressively abandoned God.
- God persistently called them back to Him.
- Judah mocked and despised those efforts.
- God’s wrath was eventually displayed against Judah.
- This meant Babylon conquered and carried Judah into exile.
- In my years of selfishness and hypocrisy, God persisted in His pursuit of me. By God’s grace, I owned my sin, got help, and pursued biblical accountability. God now sends me men who face what I once did and need to repent. My life serves as an example to those who seek help, even though my life once seemed like a broken mess.
- But what about your story? Where do you need to repent? How are you treating the convicting words of Scripture and the people mentoring you?–JMB
