I will speak of me here. Maybe this also speaks of you.

1. I do what I do, because I want what I want.
2. My opinion always naturally sounds best to me.
3. I find it easy to selfishly justify the choices I make.
4. Therefore when the Bible is clear on a matter, I naturally find it easier to let myself off of the hook rather than pursuing diligence and discipline.
5. But God is the one ultimately weighing or testing.
6. God’s opinion about me ultimately matters more than mine about myself.
7. The biblically wise life is therefore more of a pursuit of God and less a pursuit of self.–JMB
