2Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own opinions.–Proverbs 18
My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. (James 1:19-20)
- What part of the James verse is yours to apply? Where are you convicted?
- Listening? Speaking? Angry?
- Regarding the proverb, Is your first move to understand others?
- Or is your first move to be understood?
- Do people exist simply to receive your words?
- Or do you find delight in understanding others?
- I always have to stay intentional here. Do you?–JMB
