29…observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord and his rules and his statutes.–Nehemiah 10

1. In this chapter, the leaders led by example and entered into a covenant of faithfulness with God.
2. To “observe” something is to hold it as binding in your life.
3. Drivers should therefore observe a STOP sign on the road.
4. A person should not only observe the STOP sign, but actually stop at the required area.
5. Do you view the commands of God that way?
6. Do you both observe them and seek to do them?
7. This was a heart issue for those in Nehemiah’s day. It is a heart issue for you and me, too.–JMB
