14Blessed is the one who fears the LORD always,
but whoever hardens his heart will fall into calamity.–Proverbs 28
- There are two choices in this proverb.
- The first one fears the Lord.
- The second one hardens his own heart.
- Life flows from the inside out. The choices you make deep within you are expressed outside of you.
- Therefore, the stubborn thoughts, feelings, and motivations that nobody can see will eventually out themselves in selfish attitudes, words, and deeds.
- And this proverb called the first choice blessed and the second choice calamitous.
- Which choice best describes you? I have to fight everyday against my own selfish heart and instead make choices that fear God.–JMB
